Inspiring Young Minds at East Orange Police Department’s “Bring Your Child to Work Day”

The FBI Newark Citizen Academy Alumni Association was honored to participate in the East Orange Police Department’s “Bring Your Child to Work Day” youth event. It was a day filled with inspiration, education, and community connection!

The FBI Newark Division delivered an engaging presentation titled “FBI Overview and Careers,” offering valuable insights into the Bureau’s mission, core values, investigative work, and career opportunities. The session captivated a diverse group of young participants ranging from 2nd to 10th grade, all accompanied by their dedicated parents.

We were truly impressed by the children’s curiosity, thoughtful questions, and respectful participation. Their enthusiasm reminded us why it’s so important to invest in the next generation of leaders and public servants.

A special thank you to Detective Cheryl Hamlett for hosting this impactful event and welcoming us to the East Orange Police Department Headquarters.

👏 We’re proud to support initiatives that empower youth and build stronger connections between law enforcement and the communities we serve.
