As volunteer ambassadors for the FBI, FBINewarkCAAA educates communities about federal law enforcement issues, priorities, and goals; and serves to foster a greater understanding of the role of federal law enforcement in alignment with the mission and resources of the FBI. FBINewarkCAAA does this by:
- Providing public education programs to raise awareness of community safety issues such as cybercrime, violent extremism, drugs, terrorism, gang activity, public corruption and other criminal activities.
- Equipping citizens with information, tools and resources to address public safety issues such as opioid addiction, hate crimes, online scams, human trafficking, and active shooter situations.
- Sponsoring community service initiatives to help at-risk populations through food drives, clothing donations, school supplies, childhood reading programs, and senior meals.
- Supporting FBI sponsored outreach and information programs to community citizens, businesses, religious organizations, and government agencies.
