Hate Crime
On June 12, 2023, the FBINewarkCAAA, in Partnership with the FBI Newark Division, sponsored a timely seminar, Hate Crimes: End Hate Embracing Diversity.
The Purpose of this seminar was to educate the attendees about the various definitions and types of hate crimes; enhance their knowledge in criteria that constitute a reportable legal hate crime/threat; educate all in attendance on the facts, issues and solution-centered ways in which they can protect our communities, including our neighborhoods, from this horrific type of crime which has recently increased. The knowledge gained by the attendees from the handouts and presentations was invaluable.
